Mission

TDC Provides the technical expert's/experienced user's point-of-view on what data and methods are required to accurately predict the phase equilibrium and thermophysical properties of refining streams - and how they should be used properly. This information is necessary for the cost effective design of and for the safe and efficient operation of refineries.

• We sponsor and overview the dissemination and continuous improvement of the Technical Data Book - Petroleum Refining, an API standard;
• We also sponsor short-term experimental and other projectrs either to improve TDB methods or to assist the petroleum processing industry in responding to safety, environmental, and regulatory challenges in a timely and economic manner;
• We are available as a technical resource group to other API Committees and Task Forces to assist in their development of standards and guidelines;
