The Subcommittee on Measurement Accountability (COMA) develops, approves, and maintains standard for Marine Measurement, MPMS, Chapter 17, as well as for measurement accountability and loss control of petroleum and petroleum products involving all modes of transportation.

COMA provides representation on the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee (TC) 28/Subcommittee (SC) 6 on Bulk Cargo Transfer, Accountability, and Reconciliation.

It also provides representation to the Energy Institute (formerly Institute of Petroleum).
