Welcome to the home page for the CRE Subcommitee on Mechanical Equipment (SOME). The SOME develops and maintains a diverse set of mechanical equipment standards based on the fundamental tenets of safety, performance, and reliability. These standards address the purchaser's total life-cycle costs by specifying minimum design requirements and, where applicable, default criteria, while being flexible enough to meet the needs of a specific application.

This site offers information on upcoming meetings, provides reference documents, ballots, and draft for review. It also provides information on the status of standards and due dates. Rosters are posted for information and use among the subcommittee and should not be distributed outside of the committee members.

Chair: Joe Thorp - Aramco Services
Vice-chair: John Kocur - ExxonMobil
