2007 Participating Companies

Participation in the AOPL / API Pipeline Benchmarking Survey (PBS) is open to all interested pipeline companies. Currently, the focus of the survey is on North American operations and, in particular, the U.S. and Canada. The interest of companies outside this sphere is welcome, but benchmarking and regression calculations do require a minimum of six or seven pipelines to produce meaningful results. (Please click here to read about the 2007 PBS).

The PBS is only one of several benchmarking activities undertaken by the API. The reasons for benchmarking, and the approach that the API undertakes ensures that companies receive the highest quality results and data handling possible, for a minimal cost. (Please click here to read more about the API approach to benchmarking).

If your company is interested in participating in the PBS, please contact the survey coordinator for more information.

2007 PBS Pricing and Data Availability:
Participation in the PBS is contingent upon both payment and submission of data. To encourage participation, as well as retain confidentiality and integrity of the data, benchmarking results are available only to survey participants.

The cost of conducting this survey is shared equally among participating companies. Currently, there are twelve participating companies and the cost is $15,000 per company. If additional companies commit to participate, the cost will be reduced proportionally.

Questions about pricing and availability of results should be sent to the survey coordinator.

PBS Commitment and Agreement Form: 2007 PBS

Participants agree that the survey information is confidential and shall be used solely by Participant's company for internal benchmarking purposes and shall not be disseminated outside the Participant's company, that there will not be a general distribution of the information in the company, and that distribution of the information will only be made to those in the company who are responsible for benchmarking and have a need for such information.
