PIDX Standards and Guidelines Chair, Tim Morgan of Eirô Consulting LP, is pleased to announce that Steven Robinson, Vice President of Technology and Chief Architect for Techstone Technology Partners, has accepted the position of Vice Chair of the PIDX Business Messages Workgroup (BMWG). Steven will support Charles Sewell, Baker Hughes Oil and Chair BMWG, in continuing to develop and enhance both new and existing data formats and communication protocols used within the Oil and Gas industry.

“PIDX is very pleased to see Steven assume the vacant Vice Chair position”, said Tim Morgan. “There are several initiatives underway including: PIDX RosettaNet Documentation Revision, XML Field Ticket Pilot and the development of the Safety Data XML schema within the BMWG that Steve’s background and experience will be invaluable in helping to drive forward.”

Mr. Robinson has over 10 years of IT consulting experience in the Oil, Gas and Energy industries developing applications including seismic data processing applications, gas nominations systems, pipeline monitoring, and enterprise application integration, including some of the first PIDX XML integrations.  Mr. Robinson is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.
